The Hard Decisions - Hitting in Blackjack

Hitting in Blackjack Hitting your hand means taking an additional card in an attempt to bring your total closer to 21.

To signal the dealer that you'd like to receive additional cards, you'll scratch the cards on the table in a game where the cards are face down and you're allowed to touch them. In a game where your cards are face up, you signal a hit by tapping the table with your finger.

If you're total goes over 21, you've busted, and you immediately lose your bet.

If you bust and your cards are face down, you should turn them over immediately so the dealer can collect your cards and your bet.
